Battlefield Series
The battlefield is a series of first-person shooter video games that started on Microsoft Windows and OS X with Battlefield 1942, which was released in 2002. The series is developed by Swedish company EA DICE and is published by American company Electronic Arts. Playing in squads has become a major element of games in the series. Since Battlefield 2, the series centrally recorded online stats for each player, allowing users to receive rank promotions and weapon unlocks based on their performance as well as awards such as medals, ribbons, and pins. A class system is present within all the Battlefield games. Each class features a different type of primary weapon along with different equipment, differentiating roles on the battlefield. The ability to engage other players in melee combat with a knife has been present in Battlefield games. Since Battlefield 2142, the series has included an award of dog tags for each player killed using a knife.

Monster Hunter Series
Monster Hunter is an action role-playing game for the PlayStation 2. The game was developed and published by Capcom. Monster Hunter places the player in the role of an up-and-coming hunter who must accomplish various quests to achieve glory. Armors, weapons, and other items are created from the remains of slain monsters by carving off their horns, scales, and bones, as well as from mining for ores in the field. Monster Hunter plays similarly to Phantasy Star Online allowing the player to team up with up to three other hunters online to take down stronger monsters. Monster Hunter is played through quests given to the hunter by the Village Elder or the Town Guild. Village Quests can be classified into four categories: hunting, gathering, capture, and event. They are also categorized into different levels, ranging from 1 to 8. Higher-level quests become available after quests in the previous level are completed. There are three types of quests:
Hunting: Hunting quests make up the majority of the missions. As the name implies, the hunter will track, provoke, and eventually slay a monster or several monsters.
Gathering: Gathering quests are missions in which the hunter must "gather" items like herbs or monster parts.
Capture: The hunter must weaken, but not kill the prey, and then capture it with a trap.

Forza Horizon Series
Forza Horizon is a racing video game developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360. The game is the fifth installment in the Forza series. Forza Horizon focuses specifically on casual street racing, rather than professionally on race tracks, as it takes place on a map of temporarily closed public roads. It features multiple types of races, from drift to rally and point-to-point races. The roads feature both AI traffic and when playing online, other festival drivers. Players may challenge the other racers they encounter in a one-on-one race to a given location. The races start at the current location and finish at a randomly generated way-point. A skill system is implemented in the game; players earn popularity during races by driving aggressively. Acts such as drifting, jumping over obstacles, and getting a car on two wheels all contribute to the player's popularity level. These can be chained together in a combo, which in turn affects the money players are paid at the end of a given race. Cred also affects a player's popularity level in the game. As a player's popularity level increases new special events are unlocked, such as races against helicopters and planes.

As Jesse Faden, players wield the Service Weapon, a supernatural firearm that can be adapted into a variety of different forms with different combat applications. In addition to the Service Weapon, Jesse can acquire a variety of supernatural abilities including telekinesis, levitation, quick dash, and the ability to convert enemies into temporary allies. The Service Weapon has limited ammunition which reloads after a certain interval and Jesse's abilities expend Jesse's energy, necessitating a balance in their usage. The Service Weapon can be upgraded throughout the game via a skill tree; to gain new powers, players must locate various Objects of Power - ordinary items acted upon by supernatural forces - hidden throughout the Oldest House. Due to the versatility of the game's loadouts, Control's combat system can be customized and balanced to the player's preferences. Health in Control does not recharge automatically and must be picked up from fallen enemies. Control is set within the Oldest House, a featureless Brutalist skyscraper in New York City, which is referred to in-game as a "Place of Power".
